The Pumphouse Players, Inc.
As a membership-driven organization,
The Pumphouse Players brings stories to life through artistic collaboration. Entertaining Bartow County and the surrounding area for decades, they remain one of Georgia’s longest-running community theatres. The historic
Legion Theatre on West Main Street in Cartersville serves as home to this theatrical group. Visiting their
website provides information on upcoming auditions, shows and special events. Additionally, supporting the mission of the
Cultural Arts Alliance, they spread art and culture to the area.
This community theatre officially came to life in April of 1975. Prior to that, founding members Don and Ollene Kordecki, Mimi Collins and Roger Hilton had been discussing the lack of an organized local theatre. After an evening considering various names, a decision was made on
The Pumphouse Players. Ever since, this community theatre’s mission is dedicated to putting the
art back in
Bartow.
